MPEG SPLITTER : i am writing a mp3 player and i need to detect the MPEG splitterfilter so i can retrive some IAMMediacontent information. please bekind enough to show me the path. The player is a netscape plug-in and works fine playing MPEG1-systemstreams sent over the network from a very simple videoserver. It caneven jump. The player also uses the MPEG splitter-filter, the MPEG videoand Audio filters and the audio and video render filters provided withActiveMovie. What I'm trying to do now is a bit different. I wan't to feed the MPEGvideodecoder directly from a plain MPEG video-stream. The reason forthis is that I want to be able to play separate video and audio streams. MPEG SPLITTER : I can feed the MPEG audiodecoder directly and it works as a dream. Thevideodecoder however poses a bigger problem.I have made a sourcefilter that connects with the MPEG videodecoder butI have not yet been able to figure out how to feed data properly to it.I get a few pictures decoded and displayed and that's it. It probablyhas something to do with timestamps.I have tried to timestamp every picture, every I-picture, every group ofpicture but the effect is the same. MPEG SPLITTER : I have a question about the aspect ratio of SVCD MPG files. I knowthis question has been addressed but best I can tell, folks wereasking about burning and playing SVCD CDs. I just want to know if youcan play the files on the PC and achieve normal aspect ratio. I had acouple of files, opened them in WMP (6.4/Win98SE) and saw the screenstretched out too far with right quarter of the picture cut off. So Iinstalled the MPEG-2 codec. Now the files play in WMP at what lookslike a 480x527 view (compressed horizontally). I don't want to burnthe files to disk Just want to know if there is player that'lldisplay them on PC in normal aspect. If not, I'll quit messing withthem. But I know for sure that it IS 480x576 because I exported itout of Premiere at that size with the LSX mpeg2 codec, I made it myself, so I know what it really is.For some reason WMP is correcting the aspect ratio- It must be a codec it is using I guess?
