The Xing player is VERY fast,much faster than Quicktime for Windows. About the quality, you are of courseright, I won`t be able to "increase" the quality of the movie. But since mostclips are of very low resolution ( 160x120 ) you need to zoom them into 320x200to view them. The zooming of Xing is MUCH better than that of Quicktime:Xing uses some kind of interpolation and Quicktime simply makes the distancebitween the pixels bigger. By the way, speed of most AVI`s is enough on mymachine, if I use preset reolutions ( normal, 2x or full screen ). If I startsetting the window size manually, which means some kind of interpolation forthe player, the speed drops dramatically. If you know were to FTP a coverterfrom, please let me know.
