All the way through the file youget the same format two real frames folloed by a 'dummy' one. Needlessto say this gives a jerky feel to the playback.Anyone got any clue as to what the problem is here and how you mightwork around it.There's no problem, that's just Sony marketing striking again.Along the same lines of their "512MB" PRO memory sticks,which format to 470MB. Effective frame rate is 16fps, and it doesn'teven look as smooth as normal 16fps because of the doubling.Well I see it as a bit of a problem with regards to actually buyingthe camera, it's hardly as though the Sony 640x480 video is muchsharper than the 320x240 offered by most compeating models, and thejerky playback is a real drag. I'm just very surprised that none ofthe reiviews I read of this camera (at least half a dozen) seem tohave picked up on the fact.Can anyone think of an easy way to remove the third frame and replaceit with a blend of the surrounding two using a batch process?Expectations for movie mode on a digital still camera are low.It is a bit surprising that Sony of all companies has one of theworst.Good luck. The TV guys mmm'd abit and couldn't decide whether it was an admission or not. It was a BMW carthough and JM was there on official PR duty so it wouldn't be unusual forhim to be in the car though.
