AVI EDITOR : OK, here's one way you can do this (by far not the only one, though). This is a bit lengthy, but it should hopefully get you on your way. First off, I'm making the following assumptions:(1) You have a PC (not a Mac) and are running Win. 95, 98, NT, or 2000(2) You're familiar with DOS (command) prompts(2a) Although I'm making an attempt to present this in 'baby steps', Ihave to assume you weren't born yesterday and have at least some cursoryexperience with computers in general. By the same token, I don't meanthe baby steps to sound like I'm talking down to you - I'm just tryingto be as explicit as I can.(3) You have WinZIP or some other utility that can read .ZIP-ed files The basic procedure is to (a) convert your .MPG or .MPEG files into.AVI format, (b) edit the .AVI files to your liking, and (c) re-compressthem into .MPG format for expedient distribution over the internet. Here goes... AVI EDITOR : 1. Go to and click on the filecalled "mpav100.exe" to download it. (Unfortunately I can't give you adirect link because the downloads on this site are done via JavaScriptrather than direct HTML links).5. Make a directory in a location of your choice called MPG2AVI. Runthe file MPAV100.EXE (downloaded in step 1) - it will ask for adestination directory to decompress files into. Point it to the MPG2AVIdirectory you just created.6. Make another directory somewhere called AVIEDIT. UnZIP the contentsof the file PAE.ZIP (downloaded in step 2) into this directory.7. Make a third directory called AVI2MPG. Extract the contents of bothAVI2MPG1_VER1_8.ZIP and A2MGUI.ZIP (steps 3 and 4) into this directory.8. Navigate to the AVIEDIT directory created in step 6 and run the filePAE155.EXE.
